Updates!
2/4/2022: Due to Winter Weather Warning- We will be not seeing acute illness after 12:00pm and closing our well visits at 3:00 in order to keep our staff and families safe on the roads!

Happy Summer!!
Did you know that Lyme disease is transmitted by the blacklegged tick, but it has to be attached for at least 36 hours. We recommend nightly tick checks on our kids in order to catch the tick before they can transmit Lyme. Call if you find a deer tick that has been attached longer than 36 hours.

We love our doctor and his staff. They are great and entertain our child. They answer all the concerns we have.
Tammy
Everyone in the office is incredibly friendly and helpful. I know that I can ask any question, and as a new parent I have many! The office is always clean and very inviting.
Jenn
Our doctor is the best! We moved from Portsmouth to Lincoln for over a year and we continued to come to him. We looked for a pediatrician in Providence, but no one came close. I even inquired with a friend who works for our insurance company and she said I would never find someone as good as our doctor. It’s true, I tried but these doctors are the best in the state.
Van
Everyone is so happy and helpful at Aquidneck Pediatrics. We are first time parents, and are so thankful we chose this practice for our son. The whole staff is wonderful.
Sonya

Aquidneck Pediatrics are great with my son. He is not afraid of the office and loves seeing everyone.
Beth
We have been patients of my doctor since my firstborn was one year old. Six children later, we are still here and would not go anywhere else. Our doctor is fabulous with children and she is respectful of parents. Her team is a bright spot in the midst of any sick visit!
Ashley
It truly feels like a small town atmosphere. I love how genuinely caring each and every staff member is.
Sarah, mom of six children ages 1yr-16yrs
My children have been seeing our doctor for over 16 years. We absolutely love her. In her office I never have to wait more than 10 -15 minutes to be seen, which is very important to me with my busy life, and yet I feel that I have 100% of her attention and never feel rushed. She is very supportive, very on top of everything and makes appropriate referrals when needed. Her head nurse is fantastic too.
Diana, Teresa, and Lizzy
The office is great. Very accommodating for sick visits. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Always great visits.
Katie and Sean
We love everyone here. They are always so kind and caring! Thank you!

Over the course of the last year we have called our Doctor on the weekend to address sudden fevers, rashes and ear infections. We continue to be impressed at how quickly our phone calls are returned and our issues addressed. We couldn’t be happier!

COVID-19
Coronavirus – COVID19
<section=”covid-section-one”>
During the COVID pandemic, we at Aquidneck Pediatrics value a safe office experience for all of our patients. As such, we are keeping all sick patients out of the well visit area. We are asking that anyone coming into the office please follow the signs when entering the office. Sick visits are currently being seen in our new sick wing AFTER calling the office to check in. The new sick wing can be entered to the left in the lobby (past the Lifespan lab). Well child exams are still being seen in our regular office. Please also continue to wear masks and limit the number of people coming to visits. If your child is scheduled for a well child check and anyone in your household is sick or has a pending COVID test or recently tested positive, you must call to reschedule your child’s appointment. This includes shot appointments and follow up appointments. In a continued effort to keep everyone well, we are still conducting COVID screening and will ask you to leave the office with your child immediately if any answer to a question on the COVID screen is “yes.” We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.***

If your child has any of the following symptoms of COVID19, we CANNOT currently see your child in our office for a well child check:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
This list of symptoms originates from the CDC as potential symptoms of COVID19. As per the CDC, symptoms may present 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. To ensure the safety of our patients, if your child has the above symptoms OR has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID19 OR has recently traveled domestically OR internationally OR has been in close contact with someone traveling from these areas, please DO NOT come into the office. Please call with concerns and we will direct you as to how to seek care.
Asymptomatic Testing
If your child requires asymptomatic (well without symptoms) COVID19 testing, please go to the following website to arrange. If you can not arrange a test on this website, please call 401.654.6990 for further information on scheduling a test.
Clearance
Please also be aware that our physicians cannot clear your child to return to school, camp, daycare, etc if they have recently had any of the above symptoms. Your child will need to be fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication and be ten days from the start of symptoms OR have a negative COVID19 test to return to activity.
Mask clearance
As per the RIDOH release 09/09/2020: “A Rhode Island Executive Order (EO) and subsequent EO extensions require that face coverings be worn when someone is closer than six feet of others in both indoor and outdoor public spaces. Healthcare providers do not have authority to overrule and EO and the EO does not include a provider exemption, so providers may not exempt anyone from wearing a mask.”
Social Interaction
We understand these are frustrating times. The clinic is doing everything we can to safely, effectively, and efficiently provide high quality care to children. The physicians request that parents and family members remain calm and respectful when interacting with any Aquidneck Pediatrics employee.
Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times as we work to provide the safest environment for your family.
WALK-IN HOURS
Walk in hours in the morning and on weekends will remain suspended until further notice. Please see our office hours link to see temporary changes to our regular office hours.

INTEGRATION OF TELEMEDICINE .
Even with all the social distancing, we are dedicated to being there for you. We are now caring for our patients via phone or internet secure telemedicine. Please call any time if you have any concerns and we are here for you in these crazy times! We will send you a safe secure internet link to allow you to video chat with your doctor, right from your home. We are so excited to provide this service to our patients! Thanks for your participation.
AVOIDANCE AND TESTING
Please continue social distancing, washing hands frequently, and covering coughs. If you or your child are symptomatic, practice self-quarantine. The RIDOH recommends that mild to moderate symptoms be managed at home.

COVID-19
Coronavirus – COVID19
<section=”covid-section-one”>

Sonya
At Aquidneck pediatrics, the doctors and staff are always quick to help and make my children feel better. They are very attentive and authentic with their care.
Kerri

Sonya

Kerri

We love everyone here. They are always so kind and caring! Thank you!

COVID-19
Coronavirus – COVID19
<section=”covid-section-one”>

Sonya
At Aquidneck pediatrics, the doctors and staff are always quick to help and make my children feel better. They are very attentive and authentic with their care.
Kerri
Thank you!
Robin
Over the course of the last year we have called our Doctor on the weekend to address sudden fevers, rashes and ear infections. We continue to be impressed at how quickly our phone calls are returned and our issues addressed. We couldn’t be happier!

COVID-19
Coronavirus – COVID19
<section=”covid-section-one”>

She is very supportive, very on top of everything and makes appropriate referrals when needed. Her head nurse is fantastic too.

COVID-19
Coronavirus – COVID19
<section=”covid-section-one”>

Everyone in the office is incredibly friendly and helpful. I know that I can ask any question, and as a new parent I have many! The office is always clean and very inviting.

We have been patients of my doctor since my firstborn was one year old. Six children later, we are still here and would not go anywhere else. Our doctor is fabulous with children and she is respectful of parents. Her team is a bright spot in the midst of any sick visit!
